Annual Parish meeting report 2010-2011. Andy Betts

It’s been a relatively quiet year for the events committee. The group organised a summer barbeque at the village hall on June 13^th after the Open Gardens. The weather was kind and we had a good attendance. Those present enjoyed a live jazz band, superb BBQ food, a chip shop, a well stocked bar and lively disco. A good time was had by all and the event raised about £400.

 Our next extravaganza is another summer barbeque on Saturday 9^th July. As we can no longer use the village hall as a venue because of the expanded playground area we have been looking for an alternative venue. Rick and Michael have kindly agreed that we can use their Paddock for the event. This will be ideal. Further information to follow.

 Our treasurer informs me that we have a healthy bank balance of £1300 to fund future events.

 Finally we are looking for new recruits to the entertainment committee if anyone has the time and interest.
