Granby & Sutton WI Annual report to Annual parish Meeting 2011-2012 – Elizabeth Howard

WI meets at 7.30pm on the 2^nd Wednesday of the month in Granby village Hall. A successful 7 entertaining year with 32 members. The main fund raising event was a coffee morning in May with cakes preserves & plants for sale. An outing was held in June to Brodsworth Hall, Nr Doncaster. Members 7 visitors attended.

We had some excellent speakers among them 3 of our own members. Kim Barlow-Miles, Helen Hutson & Carole Kirk.  Granby & Sutton WI celebrated its 70^th Anniversary in February with a dinner at Langar Hall. It completed in the WI competition at Notts County Show & won 1^st prize in all 4 categories.
