There are nine ringers in the Band, seven of whom are considered regulars. I am delighted to report that ringing standards have improved considerably over the last year – with a much greater emphasis on good, even striking – which I hope makes listening a rather more enjoyable experience for the neighbours.
We are able to ring for all services and special occasions – including ringing for national events along with other towers in the Country, such as the Jubilee and the Olympics last year, and St George’s day last month.
Practice night is Thursday 7.30 – 9pm. On the fourth Thursday we join Langar practice, and on the second ringers from Langar, Cropwell Bishop and Stathern join us.
