Royal scarecrows come to Granby and Sutton

Imagination and creativity were apparent in the display of royal scarecrows in both villages in the week leading up to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Competition was fierce and the judges had a difficult task. They eventually selected Queen Victoria of Sutton as the winner (John and Isabel Daw) with Queen Elisabeth 1st (Elaine and Jim Walsh) and Prince Charles (Philip and Brenda Straw) runners up in Granby.
